We drive a short distance to one of our favorite walking areas, the little Wood Duck nature preserve, and find the dirt landscaping that came with the new East Parkcenter bridge is looking more natural. I wish the crews would finish with the orange stretch fencing, though. It’s an eyesore.

Brenna’s usual bravery is apparently subdued by the cold she’s been fighting.

Hunter is fending off beasts. I am glad to see him really enjoying himself, all from his imagination.

Like the day, our walk reaches a quiet end as we slowly pick our way among brambles to rejoin mainstream lives.
